Main Theme: Indoor Air Quality and Thermal Comfort for Health It is observed that mostly Thermal Comfort and Indoor Air Quality terms evoke a popular technical field rather than a professional field in HVAC&R engineering. Thermal comfort is few numbers for winter and summer seasons. However, when the Indoor Air Quality is considered the answer of the question: what should the fresh air flow rate be, is seeked. Indeed the terms, "Thermal Comfort" and "Indoor Air Quality", form the main target, DNA and core of services of HVAC&R engineers. What we fundamentally do is to engineer an indoor environment that is well-isolated from the surroundings in which human health and performance are not impacted. It is well-known by the HVAC&R engineers that how indoor and outdoor environmental factors affect the indoor environment. However, we are not very much interested in how the indoor environment affects the human health, productivity, and mood. This circumstance is generally same for our society as well. Especially, sensitivity to polluted air is at very lower levels from both individual and organizational perspectives. There exist many number of indoor living spaces in which a person should not be in there. However, we only react when our vital func.tions are visibly impacted. On the other hand, we keep breathing the gases and particles without realizing that they are hazardous to our health. To sum up, Thermal Comfort and Indoor Air Quality are the subjects that should not be perceived as just a few numbers by both public and HVAC&R engineers. As in all congresses, while TESKON 2015 will also include presented and discussed platforms in all areas of current research and modern technology of HVAC&R engineering, it will also include presentations and discussions on Thermal Comfort and Indoor Air Quality subjects that will increase the technological and social awareness. In this respect, we kindly invite academics, professionals, and colleagues to submit their studies emphasizing the significance of thermal comfort and indoor air quality to create healthy indoor spaces. In addition to the symposiums of Thermal Comfort and Indoor Air Quality organized regularly in the congress, TESKON 2015 will also include symposiums and presentations in social areas such as Thermal Comfort and Indoor Air Quality in schools, hospitals, shopping malls, public transportation, and industrial facilities. Furthermore, special se ssions in the fields of energy efficiency in ventilation and energy recovery technology will also be organized.
